ARCADIS AYH plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Smith, who has recently joined the Manchester office as Business Unit Director of the Commercial Sector Project Management Department. 

Paul was previously Associate Director at Gardiner and Theobald in Manchester for eight years, managing projects in both the public and private sectors.  Paul has extensive experience in commercial development and has recently project managed the £25m redevelopment of The Menai in Bangor, which involved the delivery of a two phase retail development comprising a £20m shopping centre and a £5m multi storey car park.

His public sector experience has been attained through a variety of education projects, where he has been responsible for delivering projects for Mancat, Lancaster University and Blackburn College.  Paul also project managed a £10m mixed use development at Priory place in Coventry.  This included a significant portion of Public Realm works including the diversion of statutory services, provision of new paving, water features and artwork, and was jointly funded by the Lottery and Local Authority.
